OpenRun vs. OpenRun Mini | Find your perfect fit

    Shokz Apr 25

If you have a smaller head size you may have struggled to find running headphones with a secure fit or find comfortable headphones for your long runs – not anymore! Shokz has the solution with the OpenRun Mini, specifically designed to fit smaller heads better.

Shokz customer favorite bone conduction wireless sport headphones, now come with a new look, a quick-charge feature, and a new name. OpenRun is Shokz lightest headphones to date and are designed specifically for runners, giving you everything you need to train to your personal best.

OpenRun is now available as OpenRun Mini so that runners with smaller heads can also experience the secure fit, maximum comfort, and open-ear listening of OpenRun. OpenRun Mini has a snug fit, with a half-inch shorter band to bring the headphones closer to your head and limit movement as you run.

    Smaller size and comfortable fit

Is OpenRun Mini the right fit for you? The smaller band size means there will be less space between the band and the back of your head compared with the standard OpenRun. We recommend choosing OpenRun Mini if you’re buying a gift for a child or teen, you have a smaller head size or you prefer your headphones to have a snug fit.

    Choose your right size Shokz

If you have a pair of Shokz and feel they are too loose for your head consider OpenRun Mini for your next purchase. If you are choosing Shokz for the first time try measuring your head to find the answer!

Grab a flexible measuring tape or if you don’t have one, a piece of string or even a USB lead that you can use to check the size of your head.

Measure your head between the mid-point behind your left ear and the midpoint behind your right ear. This follows the line of where the band goes.
Place one end of the measuring tape behind the midway point of your left ear and hold it tight. Pull the other end around the back of your head until it sits behind your right ear.

Securely hold the cable or measuring tape so that you can see the measurement when you lift it away from your head. If you’re using a cable, straighten the cable and measure it with a ruler.

    Your perfect fit is…
If your measurement is more than 9.25 inches (23.49 centimeters) - OpenRun Standard Size
If your measurement is 9.25 inches (23.49 centimeters) or less - OpenRun Mini Size

    Designed for running

Shokz wireless headphones have a secure fit so they stay put wherever you run. They are lightweight and comfortable for all-day listening, they keep you motivated and aware of your surroundings with their open-ear design. Powered by patented 8th generation bone conduction, BluetoothⓇ 5.1, and PremiumPitch™ 2.0+, OpenRun gives a clear sound, powerful volume, and rich bass to all your favorite running tracks.

With 8 hours of battery life and easy button commands such as play, skip, pause, and repeat, you can enjoy music, calls, audiobooks, and podcasts all run long. OpenRun and OpenRun Mini also feature a 10-minute Quick Charge for up to 1.5 hours of battery life.

An IP67 rating means they are completely sweating and waterproof. They are totally reliable no matter how intense your workout or how extreme the weather. A moisture detection alert ensures safe charging.

Open ear bone conduction headphones for running

Shokz headphones use bone conduction technology to send sound waves through your cheekbones directly to your inner ear, leaving your ear canal open. A lightweight band goes around the back of your head and ear hooks rest lightly on the tops of your ears to place the transducers on your cheekbones just in front of your ears, ensuring a comfortable fit.

Open ear listening means you can hear the ambient noise of the world around you, frees you from ear pain or pressure, and is cleaner and more hygienic. Shokz bone conduction running headphones are perfect for those who like to listen to music while they train but don’t want to cut themselves off from their surroundings.

Whether you choose OpenRun or OpenRun Mini bone-conduction headphones will soon become your favorite training partner!
