What are the main differences between OpenDots 2 and OpenDots Air?

1. Design & Comfort
Both OpenDots Air and OpenDots 2 have the flexible nickel-titanium JointArc™ design, which is lightweight and designed for a more comfortable fit. Each OpenDots 2 earbud weighs 6.4g, while OpenDots Air weighs 6.3g per earbud.

2. Sound/Audio Quality
OpenDots 2 features upgraded Dolby Audio and Bassphere™ 2.0 technology, delivering a more immersive listening experience with enhanced bass performance. OpenDots Air does not support Dolby Audio, but still comes equipped with Bassphere™ technology, offering strong bass and great sound quality for everyday listening.

3. Dust & Water Resistance:
OpenDots 2 offers IP57 water resistance for the earbuds and IP54 for the charging case, while OpenDots Air provides IP55 water resistance for the earbuds, but its charging case is not waterproof.

4. Charging:
OpenDots 2 supports both USB-C and wireless charging, while OpenDots Air supports USB-C charging only.

5. Microphone:
OpenDots 2 has Triple AI Noise-Canceling Microphones per earbud (2 air-conduction mics + 1 bone-conduction mic) for clearer voice pickup, even in noisy environments. OpenDots Air has Dual AI Noise-Canceling Microphones per earbud, designed for effective noise reduction and clear calls in everyday use.

Does OpenDots Air support Dolby Audio?

OpenDots Air does not support Dolby Audio but still offers great sound quality for everyday listening.

Is the charging case compatible with Qi-certified wireless chargers?

OpenDots Air does not support wireless charging with wireless charger. Do not place the product on a wireless charger for charging.

What is the water-resistance rating of OpenDots Air?/Is OpenDots Air waterproof?

The OpenDots Air features an IP55 rating for the earbuds, making them resistant to sweat and light rain, while the charging case is not waterproof.

However, it isn’t waterproof and not recommended for swimming, water skiing, surfing, or other water sports. After intense workouts, please wipe the surface of the earbuds and the microphone holes with a soft, dry cloth to remove sweat and maintain performance.

Note:
1. The IP55 dust and water resistance is only applicable to the earbud body, not the charging case.
2. The splash-resistant feature is not permanent and may degrade over time due to wear and tear from regular use.
3. Do not immerse the product in water, expose it to prolonged moisture, or wear it during water activities such as swimming, water skiing, or surfing.
4. If the product or its accessories come into contact with water, please wipe them off as soon as possible and place them in a well-ventilated, cool area to dry. Do not use or charge the product before it is completely dry.
