OPENMOVE (Refurbished)

I bought these after a recent close encounter of the hooved kind - the type of which comes very close to requiring an immediate change of underwear !
We have a 10 month old working cocker spaniel & my usual route over various fields crosses one in which three horses live. Two of the horses are used to us & are absolutely fine - The other is a rather new to the field , a lot younger & a little unpredictable.
I always like listening to something or other whilst out on walks & tended to use ear buds. A few weeks ago I was crossing the field, listening away to a podcast when simultaneously, the dog started bouncing around and I felt rather than heard something which caused me to spin around only to see the newer horse had been galloping at full speed towards me & literally skidding to a halt managing to stop only inches away from me !
Happily it turned out to be pretty friendly albeit curious and very boisterous.
As you can imagine - not the kind of incident I'd wish to repeat in a hurry !.
Upon arriving home I did some research & due to Shokz being by far the main player in this area, ended up buying some of their Openmove bone conducting earphones.
Well, they've been an absolute revelation ! - I can listed to music / podcasts / radio / and even have a completely understandable phone conversation - All whilst leaving my ears open for over enthusiastic horses and the like !
It's easy to 'forget' you're wearing them as like all good technology - the technology itself fades into the background leaving you to listen without being too aware of the equipment, they're very easy to operate and they have nice touches such as vocal booster which I seem to have as my default.
Buying direct from the site was simple & straightforward & they arrived in good time.
They get used every single day & have already become so engrained in my day to day life that the automatic process when you are going out & pick up keys & phone - Now it's keys, phone and headphones !
All in all I wish I'd come across these a long time ago !

I purchased the headphones to allow me to undertake DIY tasks and still hear what was going around me. Listening to music, podcasts and still having an awareness of my surroundings, even taking a telephone call. The headphones have been fantastic.

Pur chased these as I am losing higher frequency hearing, and have tinnitus, so need to experiment with bone conducting technology, as the nhs hearing aids amplify high frequencies, which makes my tinnitus worse. All I need now is an app to turn my phone into a listening device so I can use the headphones instead of the hearing aids.

The sound quality is excellent. Easy to use when on a spinning bike. unable to use when running as falls off head.
