I bought these as a gift for my boyfriend who is completing a triple iron man for charity and is finding the training boring without listening to anything. These headphones enable him to enjoy his training more.

The quality of the sound is great and even the connection and noise quality when taking phone calls and training (when running) is really good!

As far as I am concerned, the price of these is very reasonable considering the numerous ways they can be used.

I am a keen swimmer and have always found it becomes I bit boring with no music to listen to.

I tried a pair of underwater headphones in the past but they failed miserably as they fell out so easily.

Then I came across Shokz in the latest edition of Men’s Health, which they recommended for swimmers. WOW. They are so effortless to use, extremely comfortable and the music quality is good!

I bought the Shokz Openswim Pro as I was going on a 2 week holiday and wanted to make full use of the pool. Being able to listen to some relaxing music whilst I swim has completely transformed the swimming experience for me! It makes swimming feel like absolute bliss.

I was really sceptical as headphones I’ve used in the past always fell out, but the Shokz were extremely comfortable and never once felt like they were going to fall off my head.

I would absolutely 100% recommend the Shokz Openswim Pro to any swimmer who’s looking to make their exercise more enjoyable with music!

Why I bought them
I bought a pair of Shokz while training for a triathlon, and honestly I wasn’t expecting much. I’d heard good things, but I’ve been let down by “sport” headphones before. These are completely different. I use them almost every day – runs, bike rides, gym sessions, and most importantly, swimming – and they’ve been brilliant across the board.

Using them for training
They’re exactly what I needed. The open-ear thing is perfect for safety when I’m out running or riding, but where they really surprised me was in the pool. Most waterproof headphones I’ve tried either fall off, sound terrible, or just get annoying halfway through a session. These stay on, the sound is clear (even underwater, which still kind of blows my mind), and I don’t have to mess with them mid-lap. Makes swim sets way less boring.

What I love
What I like most is how comfortable they are. They don’t budge, even with a swim cap and goggles on. Battery life’s been great too – I charge them maybe once a week. I’ve listened to podcasts and playlists without any problems and they’ve held up through sweat, rain and long swim sessions without any issues at all.

Shopping experience
Buying was easy, they arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I only bought one pair but honestly I’d buy again in a heartbeat if I needed to. Also noticed their refund policy goes off the highest unit price if you order more than one, which seemed fair and kind of reassurring when I was ordering.

How I use them day-to-day
I use them almost daily now. Early runs, gym, long rides and every pool session. Having music or podcasts while swimming has made a huge difference for me – it’s made those long sessions feel way easier to get through.

One thing to improve
The only thing I’d maybe change is the music controls. Right now it’s a bit basic. Would love more options for playlists or switching tracks, something a bit more like Spotify. Especially when I’m in the pool and want to jump between different types of music without getting out.

Final thoughts
Honestly just wish I found these sooner. If you’re training for a triathlon or just want headphones that actually work in and out of the water, these are worth every penny.

I had the open swim which was great but broke after five years. I thought I’d buy the pro. Then I find out annoyingly you can’t go between folders in MP3 mode as the older model can.
Also in Bluetooth it cuts out when I'm turning at the pool ends as my head is fully underwater. They are great headphones but if you intend to use them mainly for swimming then order the older model.
I intend to use these on my bike and whilst gardening to listen to the football etc as well as when swimming.
If you could flick between folders in MP3 mode then I would give it 5 stars
