I brought the open pro after trying a cheap pair off Amazon. That of course failed but they worked for a swim and I realised I enjoyed the feel and sound the produced.
The openswim pro is a great product for the last couple weeks I’ve had them in the water 6 times an the eq water setting works a treat.
The speed of mp3 transfer is fast for adding a quick playlist on or 32gb storage means you can have your entire library on there.
The one down floor is the interface is like a cd play pause play back/forward track and the standard repeat function hence I tend to make a play list and add before going.
Not tried running in them yet but they are very light and I barely notice them on me the pressure is very light just enough to stay on well in full swim.
The case is a nice feature adds some bulk so you don’t lose them and drain holes for any water may left on.
The app is nice give you a visual indication of what settings your on a nd eq you’ve set.
There is room for improvement this where I’d add file control to the mp3 player so I could create playlist and store on the device then choose when getting change and away you go. Maybe one fore the future make full use of the 32gb storage.
Overall I’d recommend the openswim pro feels good, sounds good, serviced the pool, quick file transfer and also Bluetooth for when out the water.
Oh and people can’t hear what your playing at sensible volumes so feels very private
If you want waterproof mp3 head phones these are great

I've been swimming with a waterproofed iPod shuffle for about 10 years and so not new to the concept of swimming with music.

Unfortunately the shuffle recently gave up the ghost, so I was on the hunt for something to replace it.

I did extensive online research on both bone conduction and also Shokz and in the end settled on the Open Swim Pro.

I set my expectations beforehand, not expecting to get the same sound quality as you would from say a pair of over-ear Bose Quiet Comforts for example.

The Open Swim Pro are a great set of headphones. The sound quality out of the water is fine, not the same as ear buds or over ear, but still ok.

Once you submerge your head in the water, it is a different kettle of fish. The sound quality is great. I decided to test without the earplugs and have swam in the sea over distances of 1-2km (30-45mins) and they work well.

They are well made, are comfortably to wear and the battery lasts longer than I need for swimming.

File transfer is easy on the Mac, using Finder. I have also easily paired them with my Apple Watch, iPhone and Mac and they work well.

I haven't bother trying bluetooth mode in the water yet, as I presume it won't work, but will maybe test soon, just to confirm.

My only suggestion would be playlist support. NOT being able to select a playlist severely limits the usability of having such a large amount of storage, as who wants to manually navigate 1000's of MP3 files.

So all in all, I am happy with my purchase.

The OpenSwim Pros are an absolute game-changer with both Bluetooth and MP3 modes! A while back, I noticed another swimmer using the original AfterShokz (without Bluetooth) and was lucky enough to try them. I was amazed by the sound quality—especially underwater—considering they don’t sit inside your ears. However, I hesitated to buy them at the time since they lacked Bluetooth.

As my wife often says, I practically live in headphones and own several in-ear models from different brands. But after a close call while running with in-ear headphones, I decided to see what Shokz had to offer. When I came across the OpenSwim Pros, complete with both Bluetooth and MP3 functionality, I knew it was the perfect time to upgrade.

After using them for both running and swimming over the past few weeks, I only wish I had made the switch sooner!
