OPENRUN (Refurbished)

Taking up running in my late 40's, the biggest difference between my not enjoying running when I was younger, and loving it now, has been being able to listen to music and audio books. The km just drift past. Originally I used in ear headphones and a headband to stop them falling out until a marathon running colleague suggested I try bone conductors.

I started with the cheaper OpenMove and they've been great, right up until they failed at 20 months of use. Being still under warranty, a video to support for them to help me try and fix/reset/solve the problem and without hassle a replacement pair are on their way free of charge. Great!

Except I really don't enjoy running without these headphone now, so I've bought these refurbished OpenRun to bridge the gap and have a spare pair on hand for the future.

If you're on a budget, or tentatively trying out bone conductors, the OpenMove was a great starting point for me.

For the OpenRun, the main differences I've noticed so far are:
* the shorter headband option that's slightly more comfortable for me.
* I think the sound quality is better, but that might be my flawed perception.
* I preferred the OpenMove USB C charging port. I think there was an option for OpenRun to have that but I cheaped out for what was currently available in the refurbished range. It's a nice magnetic automatically snap itself into place connector with a USB end, but I'm more likely to lose or forget that and USB C is now common enough in my life there's always one to hand to charge from.
* Battery duration - was never a problem on the OpenMove, I don't think I've ever used them beyond 2 hours. I haven't been out that long with the OpenRun

Having just changed over to a Shokz OpenRun, I wish I had changed earlier!
Such a joy to run and listen to music without having my ear(s) plugged in - I used to run with just the 1 so that I could hear what was happening around me.
I can now hear the silent assasins on bikes who cycle up behind me without pinging their bells :)
It makes for a more enjoyable experience especially on a longer run! And my ears feel all the better for using this brilliant piece of kit,

Fantastic headphones at a sensible price. I will certainly look to use Shokz refurbished products in future.

Although I purchased these for running ( for which they are excellent - allowing you to safely traverse the streets fully aware of your surroundings) I'm pleasantly surprised how much I've enjoyed using them for work calls. I find them super comfortable for wearing during my working day- most of which is spent on the phone- and there have no issues with sound quality etc...

So, I've been toying with these for a long time, but have been hesitant due to price mainly. I go through headphone like no one else due to my excessive sweating when exercising, so I've been sticking to cheaper versions.

Went through 2 pairs of £25 ones in 3 months, and thought no chance am I spending that again. Decided the time was right to give them a go.

Well what a good decision that was. Quality, perfect. Stability on the ears, amazing, don't even know they are there! They are also a lot more comfortable than the in & around ear ones.

Safety wise, awesome! I can hear everything around me with music/podcasts on at full blast.

Durability. Awesome! This was my main concern, but so far so good! Me and the wife both use them on our runs, and no issues at all. Got caught in a 3 hour downpour when on a run, and still as good as new.

If your not sure, just buy them! You wont regret it!
