Q&A
Q1. Do I need a race entry to apply as a Chasing Stars runner?
No. You can apply whether or not you already have a race entry. All selected runners will receive gear support, and a limited number may be offered a race entry, subject to event availability.
2. How are runners selected?
Selections are based on your personal story, motivation, running background, social engagement, and race availability. We’re not looking for the fastest runners—we’re looking for real stories and genuine commitment. There is no minimum follower requirement. An active social presence is encouraged, but storytelling, authenticity, and consistency matter more than follower count.
3. What kind of content is expected?
Selected runners are expected to share a few authentic moments around race time—before, during, and after the event. We value real race-day experiences, with no scripts or staged content. Training content is encouraged but not required.
4. Can I apply for more than one race?
If you are applying for a race entry, you may select one race only. If you already have confirmed entries for multiple Abbott World Marathon Majors (for example, London and Chicago), you may apply to participate in more than one race as a Chasing Stars runner and may be featured across those events if selected. Participation and announcements are subject to confirmed entries and availability.
5. Will Shokz cover travel or accommodation?
Race entries and gear support may be provided for selected runners. Travel, accommodation, and other expenses are not covered. If you have a special circumstance, please contact us to discuss possible support.
6. When and how will I know the results?
Results are announced in stages and aligned with each race’s timeline. If selected, you’ll be notified by email, and the results will also be shared on the relevant race pages ahead of each event. Please ensure your contact information is accurate when submitting your application.
7. What if I can’t attend the race? Can I transfer my race entry to someone else?
Race entries provided by Shokz are non-transferable. If you’re unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible. Your spot will be offered to the next eligible runner on the waitlist
