Radiologist approved microphone headset for reporting

I'm a Radiologist so do a lot of reporting of medical imaging using voice recognition software to produce my reports in the most efficient way I can. My wired Dragon headset broke so I re-reviewed what is available on the market having tried the OpenComm2 within the last year (found the fit didn't suit my head making it uncomfortable to wear, but loved the microphone) so I was very happy to see a similar product with an over the head design.

The OpenMeet is very comfortable, I have no problems wearing this for prolonged periods of time. The audio is better than I expected, I listen to music when not using the microphone and take calls. It pairs to my phone and the PC (dongle) at the same time. The carry case is well designed as I use this for my home and at work setup so constantly moving between the two. The stand out features for this is the microphone, it has a very high accuracy for getting the words correct despite using medical lingo. I love being wire free, no longer feel tied to my desk.

I thought I would still use my other headsets occasionally for other tasks like meetings but have found this has replaced everything!

The only downside I can mention is for the occasional teams meeting it will say mic off, despite me doing nothing, maybe it is picking up noise and thinks I'm trying to talk, but this is a minor inconvenience.

After struggling with the cheap headset issued by my business I decided to get another pair, that’s when I saw that there was a newer option that seemed more built for purpose, don’t get me wrong I loved my OpenComms but after wearing them for multiple hours they did start to rub but that’s probably just me. Anyway after a lot of research I decided to give them a go……
OMG. These things are soooo comfortable, you really can forget your wearing them (embarrassing when you go to the bathroom) and the sound quality is fantastic. Having the red green light helps colleagues know if I’m on a call and the controls are so much simpler than the previous models

How do I pair OpenMeet UC with my PC?

Please follow these steps:
1. During the first pairing, the wireless adapter will automatically enter pairing mode when plugged into the PC's USB port. At this time, the adapter will flash red and blue lights alternately.
2. Put the headset into pairing mode and bring it close to the wireless adapter within 2 minutes.
3. When the headset successfully pair with the wireless adapter, the adapter will display a solid cyan light.
To play music or take calls on the headset, please ensure the “Loop120 by Shokz” is both identified as the default input and output devices in your operating system’s audio settings.

How do I mute/unmute the microphone？

To mute the microphone, click the mute button once during the call. The Loop120 will show solid red.
To unmute the microphone, click the mute button once during the call.

How to connect OpenMeet UC to Shokz Connect?

1. Plug Shokz Loop 120 into the PC.
2. OpenMeet pairs and connects with Shokz Loop120.
3. When the Shokz Connect interface displays "Loop120" and "OpenMeet," it means the connection was successful.

How do I reset my wireless adapter?

You can go to the Shokz Connect to reset your wireless adapter.
Resetting your wireless adapter will restore your device to factory default settings and clear the Bluetooth pairing list.
The wireless adapter will restart, but your firmware version will remain unchanged.

Can I use the Shokz Loop110 with my OpenMeet?

You can use Loop110 to connect with OpenMeet, but some features of Shokz Connect will not be available in OpenMeet.

1.Data from the Shokz testing laboratory shows that actual weight may vary by ±1g due to product configuration and manufacturing processes; please refer to the physical product.
2.According to tests conducted by the Shokz laboratories in an intersection scenario with wideband calls, under normal wearing conditions with noise pressure levels at the head ranging from 65-72dB (A), an average signal-to-noise ratio improvement of 36.8dB can be provided, which corresponds to a reduction of 98.6% in environmental noise. Call experiences may vary based on usage habits, environment, and application software; please refer to actual experiences.
3.15 hours of use data is sourced from Shokz professional laboratory. Under standard atmospheric pressure conditions, when the headset is fully charged, the music volume is set to 60%, and the standard EQ mode is used (with all other functions set to default), the music playback time can last up to 15 hours. With the volume set to 50% and an equal talk-to-listen ratio, the talk time can last up to 14 hours. If the Busylight is turned on, the endurance is approximately 11 hours. Actual usage time may vary depending on volume, connected devices, and usage habits; please refer to actual usage.
4.Fast charge data is sourced from the Shokz professional laboratory. Under default settings, with the headset playing music until automatic shutdown at 25°C, charging the headset for 5 minutes before immediately unplugging the charging cable, can achieve 2 hours of talk time while maintaining a 50% talk-to-listen ratio, with “Busy” light off. Actual endurance after charging may vary based on volume, audio source, environmental interference, product features, and usage habits.
