Yay we love Shokz ….. so much we spread the love ❤️ 🏃‍♀️

One of our running buddies turned up wearing shokz and we were intrigued ! Loved the idea of running listening to favourite music and podcasts yet still able to hear traffic noise. So yes these were a must for me . Next I am telling my friends … they brought them too ! We love to celebrate special birthdays and Tina’s was coming up . We knew she was in awe of our shokz so a quick collection for a present 🎁 ! Tina is now in the groove with her red shokz. Lots of laughter with ‘Housework will never be the same’ 💃 🎶

Shokz OpenRun Opened My Ears To A New Audio Experience

I had been using ear buds for many years until one day I had reduced hearing. After getting my hearing checked out I was told that my hearing loss was due to compacted ear wax from many years of forcing the buds into my ears. I was then in the hunt for a different audio experience. Over ear headphones were a consideration but having seen people not paying attention to their surroundings when wearing them made me question the safety of this idea when out and about.
On a recent shopping trip to a high street department store I tried a pair of the OpenRun bone conductive headphones and was simply blown away by the quality of the audio. After a little more research into the science of bone conduction I chose the OpenRun headphones from the Shokz website. I’m very please I did. The headphones are very light and very easy to wear even with glasses on. The controls are easy to reach and the pause button is super handy when you need to stop to talk to someone or deal with something in full concentration mode.
The most important thing for me is that when using the headphones I’m still connected to my surroundings and not cut off from the world. Although these are sports headphones I use mine when gardening, washing the car and doing chores around the house. With excellent Bluetooth connectivity I can leave my phone and other devices in one place and simply get on with things while still enjoying excellent quality of sound.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend the Shokz OpenRun bone conductive headphones for ease of use, quality of materials and the excellent quality of sound. Try Allegri's Miserere for the high notes and Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach for the low notes – awesome.

Open Run Mini - Life Changing Shok run without faff!

As a confirmed technology hater not a tech phobe, I just get frustrated at things that don’t work the way they say they do. Earbuds for example - am I the only person who has ears that don’t seem to fit earbuds no matter what? I’ve spent years running with one ear bud in and one out to make sure that I can hear traffic noise when road running.
I’d been put off conductive technology because I was told the jolting action if running affected the sound quality, so for 6 years I’ve persevered with buds even though at least once on every run the one ear bud in becomes no ear buds in at all.
My partner had the OpenRun Shokz and suggested I try them once when I couldn’t find my earbuds.
What an idiot I’ve been for all these years - the mini is a perfect fit for a pin head like mine and it’s transformed my running. Because I can hear traffic I can now focus on the run whereas with earbuds I was always faffing - volume up and down, moving the ear bud from
One ear to the other as I had to swap sides of the road for safety sake.
I’d never realised how much my running pleasure was compromised by hopeless tech.
The mini is a joy to wear, so light I forget I have it on, the controls easy to use and the bliss of a recharge time that is as advertised.
As The Monkees nearly sang - I’m a Believer, no trace of doubt in my mind. I’m in love I wouldn’t change my Shokz if I was bribed. Just ace technology

Brilliant - they are the reason I can run!

Getting my Shokz OpenRun was transformative for me...this might seem like an overstatement, but a bit of back story...2.5 years ago, I could hardly walk, let alone run, due to severe chronic illnesses. As my health started to improve, I started to be able to walk longer and further, and for this I was still using large over ear headphones, that had 'transparency' settings if needed.

However...a year ago, I got to the point where I got *run*, and managed to do a 10mile race! I find the ability to have music is really important to me when running, to help with motivation and focus, to help my mood, to help my pace, and as the 10miler had an 'only bone conduction headphones' rule, I found I struggled...another runner let me try on his Shokz, which I didn't really know much about at that point, and I was impressed by the sound quality considering it wasn't 'in' your ears, and also by how well they stayed on when I had a little practise run around.

I do have a small head and I found the ones I tried caught the back of my neck a little uncomfortably, but I found a smaller band size is available, took the plunge and ordered them for myself.
I instantly fell in love! They really helped me push to do longer distances and feel confident when out and about no matter what time of day, as the ability to hear your surroundings really does help and doesn't detract (for me) from the benefits and enjoyment of listening to music. The smaller head band meant they fit really well, and I've worn them for nearly 6 hours in one go with no problem. They got me through my first MARATHON last April!!

I kept wanting to push myself and did a *100km Ultra* race for charity early this month (July 2025)...the battery lasted really well and they gave me the boost and confidence I needed to keep going! When I wanted a little break and quiet, they are very small and light...they don't mind being squished in a pocket, but honestly, anything up to 30-40mins music break, I just kept them on as they were so comfortable. For this race, I actually had to buy them all over again, as my original pair had gone missing at a previous event a few weeks before...they might be pricey, but I knew they were absolutely worth having! The quality meant I didn't want to just get knock offs I'd regret, where battery life or sound wasn't as good. Thanks to them, I raised over £1000 for charity and completed the 100km in very hot weather and unfavourable conditions!!

They've also helped when I've been in a very busy or crowded place, and know I need distraction to stop me feeling anxious and overwhelmed, but also need to be able to hear announcements or people with me clearly.

They seem durable and good quality and I like the case they come with...I haven't had any problems with the charging cable and they seem to charge quickly. They are very simple to pair with ones phone. I even use them round the house, when I need distracting from cleaning up but need to hear my 5 yr old clearly.

I'm sure I'll be using my Shokz for many years and hope to achieve a lot more whilst wearing them :D

Transformed my commute

Comfortable, great sound quality but able to tune out when needed in busier areas.
Makes my daily cycle a pleasure, tunes in the morning, podcasts in the afternoon. Love my Shokz.
