Exceeds expectations

Having tried other swim earphones and being disappointed, I took the plunge and splashed out on the Openswim pro after getting rave reviews from other users in the pool.
Happy to say the clarity of the music under water matches the quality above. Adding more motivation and enjoyment to swimming and helping to push through the tired blockers when increasing distance.
Strangely my swimming technique has changed, now with more rhythm emphasis and a relaxed approach.
Also excellent for cycling and running training. Complete all-rounder.

Openswim pro.Honest and truthful review

I have owned the previous shoxz headphones, the xtrainerz swim, for nearly 3 years and decided to upgrade purely because of the Bluetooth facility.
I swim 7500m every week in 3 sessions of 2.5km, all freestyle.

Massive upgrade in sound quality when swimming, I always use the earplugs, for me it proves the best sound quality, I don't use the swimming preset, I feel the normal setting is best for me. Easy to navigate controls with swim cap on, headphones don't move with flip turns. Big upgrade for me is the storage capacity to 32gb, put it on shuffle and away you go!!! Prior to using Shokz xtrainerz, I bought a cheap pair of bone conducting headphones from Amazon but they gave me terrible migraines??!!
I also cycle so, again they are a no brainer for me to be aware of my surroundings when riding.
Only downside is, I have found when cycling and a call comes through, the other person can't hear me, but id I stop and talk it is ok then.
Buy a pair and you won't regret it, the swim laps go by so quickly 👌👌👌👌

OpenSwim Pro is the perfect sport headphone for me

The OpenSwim Pro is just right for swimming, running and cycling. I'm used to very high quality sound and due to the bone conductor technology, I would rate the OpenSwim Pro as mid quality compared to my normal headphones and Hi-Fi system. The design of the OpenSwim Pro and the other Shokz headphones allow you to hear your surroundings and your music at the same time so this is a great safety feature. They are very comfortable and light so you hardly know that you are wearing them. I recommend the OpenSwim Pro.

Game changer when swimming!

I put them on first time when went swimming in my gym pool and I felt like I am floating ! Love listening to music while swimming it feels like dancing ! Easy to use and connect etc. Only problem is the Bluetooth…it really doesn’t travel underwater- not even 3cm…I am yet to download mp3 to the headphones…the sound is soooo much better underwater tho! They are comfortable and look cool. I am pleased with them but the Bluetooth feature should be made clearer on the website. Well packaged too but it took a little longer than I expected for them to be delivered. All in all happy ! And I got a 15% discount with code !

1. What are the main differences between OpenSwim Pro and OpenRun Pro?

OpenSwim Pro features both MP3 headphone and Bluetooth headphone. Here are the main differences between OpenSwim Pro and OpenRun Pro:
1. The former adds MP3 mode to the Bluetooth mode; while the latter only has Bluetooth mode.
2. The former adopts ENC+DNS call noise cancellation; while the latter adopts Dual Noise-cancelling Mic + CVC algorithm noise cancellation.
3. The battery life of the former is about 9 hours at medium volume in Bluetooth mode and 6 hours at medium volume in MP3 mode; while the battery life of the latter is about 10 hours at medium volume.
4. The former is IP68 waterproof, while the latter is IP55 sweatproof.
5. The former requires 90 mins to charge from 0 to 100%; while the latter requires 60 mins to charge from 0 to 100%.
6. The former has a 32G internal storage capacity; the latter is not.
7. The former adopts 4-pin magnetic charging, while the latter adopts 2-pin magnetic charging.

2. Can I use Bluetooth mode while swimming?

It is forbidden to use Bluetooth mode while swimming or underwater, as this will cause a disconnection of Bluetooth in the water. OpenSwim Pro have built-in storage, so it is recommended that you switch to MP3 mode when swimming.

3. Is the charging cable for the Opencomm/OpenRun/OpenRun Pro and the OpenSwim Pro be interchangeable to each other?

Two kinds of magnetic charging cable can not be interchangeable to each other to avoid damage to the headphone battery.
The former only has two pins and only for charging, while the latter has four pins for charging but also for transferring data at the same time.
We recommend that charging headphone with the exclusive OpenSwim Pro charging cable.

4. Can I download music to my OpenSwim Pro via Shokz App or Bluetooth?

OpenSwim Pro cannot download music directly via the Shokz app, nor via Bluetooth.

5. What are the benefits of upgrading the firmware in the Shokz App?

1. Improve FLAC format compatibility
2. Optimize headphone power consumption
3. Improve call volume synchronization, mode switching, and Bluetooth pairing stability
4. After restoring factory settings, the custom button function set in the app can now be reset normally

1. OpenSwim Pro can be submerged in up to 2 meters of fresh water for up to 2 hours. OpenSwim Pro was tested under controlled laboratory conditions and has a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529. Water-proof is not a permanent condition and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear and tear.
2. When using during outdoor activity, please ensure the headphone is being properly worn and control the volume to ensure that you can hear your surroundings, including traffic signals, passersby, etc. Using OpenSwim pro while riding or driving may distract your attention and have higher risk of sports injury and traffic accident; Using OpenSwim pro while riding or driving may violate local laws or community regulations, use of this product should comply with local laws and community regulations.
3. Usable storage varies due to system files, and for data management functions. 4. Calculated based on regular-quality songs at 4MB each. High-quality songs are approximately 8MB, storing about 4,000 high-quality music tracks.
5. Upload speed is approximately 15M/s, quantity calculated based on regular-quality songs at 4MB each. The results of simulation experiments are conducted by Shokz Lab for the intersection scene. In actual use, the upload speed depends on device settings, environment, usage, and many other factors.
6. Compatible with various audio formats such as MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, M4A, APE, WMA, etc.
7. Endurance test conditions:
● This data was gathered at the Shokz Lab in a temperature-controlled environment of 25±2 °C, playing AAC-encodedZ audio at a 75% volume and all other features set to default.
