OPENRUN (Refurbished)

This is a great upgrade from my previous headphones, which were the AfterSchokz Trekz Titanium. I'd used the Trekz Titanium headphones for over 4 years, and I have been an extreme user of them, taking them on runs, off road biking, paddle boarding, climbing and much more. They were amazing. So it was a sad day when I broke them by accidently yanking them out of my bag a few months ago.

It was a no brainer to stick with Shokz (previously Aftershokz) as the headphones have been so robust and reliable for so long and with great sound quality. I decided to go with the OpenRun headphones because:

1) They weigh only 26 grams, which is incredibly light.
2) They are IP67 rated, which was a step up from my previous model.
3) Practically everyone at my running club uses them and swears by them.

I was not disappointed!

The headphones feel practically invisible. You really can't feel they're on your head as they're so light and comfortable.

The battery life is extraordinary. My partner has Apple Earpods and she ended up using these OpenRun headphones for her ultra marathon because the Apple Earpods battery wouldn't last for the entire duration of her run.

I love the fact that these headphones have a magnetic charger, which makes charging easy and provides additional water resistance compared to a USB C port.

The sound quality is even better than my previous Trekz Titanium headphones, and as with all the Shokz bone-conducting headphones, it's great to be able to hear your surroundings for safety when running/cycling etc.

The built in mic is also great as I take a lot of call during my dog walks etc, so it's been ideal for me to be able to continue to participate in meetings etc while on the go.

As I said before, I use these headphones all the time for a wide range of sports and leisure activates, and I can't recommend them enough.

I purchased the refurbished headphones, and it was a leap into the unknown for me as I've never purchased anything refurbished before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, when the headphones arrived they were packaged up like they were brand new. They were in absolutely impeccable condition, so much so that I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually brand new. I looked over the headphones very closely trying to find any signs of wear, but there were none. So I'm super happy that I went refurbished as they were significantly cheaper and also felt like I was doing my bit for reducing waste etc. - Kudos to me for that. :-)

I’m a big fan of Shokz and wear from morning till night and have ‘sold’ many pairs at work in hospital operating theatres and Intensive Care over the 5years of ownership and this is my second time round using Openrun, my original first favourite as I’ve been on Pro’s for the last couple of years. I prefer using them as generally louder on my bicycle at speed, super amazing battery life again, better out of range repeating notifications so you will never leave your phone behind again, connecting voice preference nicer, and I bravely went for a mini Openrun and it’s so much better fit for helmets hats or laying down or sleeping, so happy with my mini Openeuns and I’ll keep my pro’s for spare and well done Shokz for giving a pair of headphones a second refurbished life too! PS no idea why someone would want to return Shokz but happy to recycle for the price.

Great running headphones - sound quality is brilliant until cars pass, I cannot tell much difference between these and normal headphones. Refurbished shokz are a great money saving option if you are not sure they will work for you, I couldn't tell that they were not brand new. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant, use them for running good music breaks the boredom!!
Excellent for phone calls, use riding the horses, farm work ,walking the dogs . No more cold hands . As you can hear all sounds they are such a safe option!!

Tried a friend’s before buying. Refurbished as recycling feels good and who would return shocks?? Comfortable, fit like a glove and loud! Would not use anything else for running
