Shokz DualBoost™ is all about having two sound units in each earbud: a large low-frequency driver plus an independent high-frequency driver. This design overcomes hardware restrictions, reproducing subtle sound details you may have missed.
Thanks to an optimized design, Shokz engineers integrated a 21mm x 11mm low-frequency driver with a larger diaphragm—key to powerful, immersive sound.

Founded on airborne sound transmission, DirectPitch™ technology enhances acoustic delivery. Its primary focus is reducing sound leakage and improving the sound quality of our open-ear TWS earbuds.
DirectPitch™ 2.0 is an advanced sound frequency allocation technology with distinct sound outlets. The central rounded sound outlet ensures crisp, pure treble, while the U-shaped sound outlet delivers deep, powerful bass. This configuration highly enhances transmission accuracy and efficiency for open-ear listening, while also maintaining privacy.
Shokz Ultra-Soft Silicone™ 2.0 — Soft Cushioning for All-Day Comfort
Shokz has newly developed the Shokz Ultra-Soft Silicone™ 2.0 to specifically enhance wearing comfort of the OpenFit 2 series. Our use of silicone material dates back to 2016, when we started using silicone to make the casing of our sports headphones. In 2018, we introduced liquid silicone to further improve both performance and texture.
Later, user feedback revealed that potential discomfort could occur at the contact point between the earbuds and the concha (the inner part of the outer ear). In response to this, we introduced our first-generation Shokz Ultra-Soft Silicone™ 1.0 in the OpenFit. But we did not stop there.
Soft as marshmallows, Shokz Ultra-Soft Silicone™ 2.0 is our self-developed silicone material that serves as a cushion for added comfort, ensuring that the earbuds fit comfortably throughout the day.
The OpenFit 2 Series—including OpenFit 2 and 2+—marks our latest evolution in TWS earbuds. Compared with the first-generation OpenFit, it has received major upgrades in sound quality, fit comfort, and control buttons—based on user feedback.
