Cheers Never Stop: Shokz at the 2025 TCS London Marathon

From the first burst of applause to the final strides down the finish line, the 2025 TCS London Marathon was more than just a race—it was a full week of energy, emotion, and community. For Shokz, it marked one of our most exciting and meaningful campaigns to date, as we brought our open-ear sound and open-hearted spirit to the streets of London.

Marathon Debuts and Marathon Legends

This year, we witnessed an incredible spectrum of running stories—and were proud to stand behind two of our elite Shokz athletes as they added new chapters to their own.

Eilish McColgan made her much-anticipated marathon debut in extraordinary fashion, crossing the finish line in 2:24:25 — 8th place, 1st British female, and a new Scottish record! It was a performance that embodied the perfect balance of grace, grit, and growth—capturing the hearts of fans around the world.

On the other end of the experience spectrum, Eliud Kipchoge returned once again to the streets of London, where his presence alone ignites energy. Finishing in 2:05:25, Kipchoge delivered a solid and composed race, a testament to the deep reserves of discipline and mastery that define his career. His performance reminded us all that greatness isn’t built overnight—it’s built brick by brick.

Bringing the Cheers to the Course: The Shokz Music Tunnel

At Mile 15, just when legs start to burn and spirits begin to dip, we created a space to lift runners up. This year, we transformed the Westferry Circus Tunnel into one of the most memorable cheer zones on the course: the Shokz Music Tunnel.

The tunnel pulsed with energy—runner-submitted voice recordings from loved ones cheered them on, Kipchoge’s own words of encouragement echoed with strength, and high-tempo music surged through the space, syncing with every stride. The smiles, the emotional reactions, the renewed pace—all proved just how powerful sound can be when it’s personal, purposeful, and perfectly timed.

At the Running Show: Stronger Together

At the TCS London Marathon Running Show, we reconnected with thousands of runners face-to-face. Whether they were discovering Shokz for the first time or returning as loyal fans, the buzz around our booth was non-stop.

It was more than a sales success—though we’re excited to share that our booth saw a 65% increase in product sales compared to last year. It was a moment to hear stories, exchange experiences, and celebrate what makes the running community so special.

Shokz x NN Running Team Pop-Up: First-Ever in the UK

In collaboration with the NN Running Team, we launched our first-ever UK pop-up store in central London. What started as a brand story space quickly became a gathering place—runners dropped in to chat, test gear, enjoy music, and be part of a unique cultural moment around the marathon.

We kicked things off with a high-spirited Shakeout Run, where energy and anticipation set the tone for the weekend. And on race day, we welcomed Kipchoge himself into the pop-up space for an intimate meet-and-greet. Runners had the chance to ask questions, capture moments, and hear first-hand insights from the greatest marathoner of all time. It was an unforgettable experience—for fans and for us as a brand.
