With the launch of Shokz first true wireless earbuds, OpenFit, the Shokz App has been upgraded to a brand new version. Currently, the Shokz App supports both OpenFit and OpenRun Pro, while the updated features only apply to OpenFit*.
With the Shokz App, you can not only easily control and personalize your earbuds and get the latest firmware update but also take your listening experience to the next level! In this blog, let's find out what general and specific functions you can enjoy on the Shokz App while using OpenFit.

Firmware Update
The steps are suitable for the initial connection and after resetting.
Step 1
Launch the App. Upon opening, you should see a pop-up window indicating [New firmware detected].
Step 2
Click [Update]. You'll be redirected to the firmware update page. Now, click [Upgrade Now]. An interface reminder will pop up instructing you to ensure that the left and right earbuds remain outside the charging case during the upgrade process. Click [OK] to proceed.
Step 3
Please remain on the upgrade page while the update takes place. Once the progress reaches 100%, you will see [Headphones are restarting]. Once the update completes, the interface will display [Firmware Updated] . To finish, click [Done].
If for some reason the update fails, simply reconnect the App and try the update again.

Multipoint Pairing
We are thrilled to announce a brand new feature for our earphone users: Multipoint Pairing. This feature allows you to effortlessly connect your headphones to two devices at the same time, enhancing your user experience. (Before you can start using this feature, a firmware update is required.)
Step 1
On the main page of the App, click on [Multipoint Pairing] located at the bottom. This action will take you to the next page.
Step 2
A pop-up will appear. Click [Yes] to activate the Multipoint Pairing function.
Step 3
Once you see [Headphones are restarting], proceed to click on the [Multipoint Pairing] button, then select [Connect To The Second Device] at the bottom.
Step 4
If you wish to connect two devices, such as cell phones, you can initiate the connection through the App. Simply select [connect to the second device], re-enter pairing mode, and follow the on-screen prompts to finalize the connection with the second device.
Step 5
Congratulations! Your headphones are now paired with two devices. You can manage and toggle between the Bluetooth connections of these devices directly through the App.
How to connect the Shokz App with OpenFit?

2. Press and hold the touch area of the earbuds with two fingers simultaneously until the indicator lights flash orange and green, indicating the earbuds have entered pairing mode.
3. Open the Bluetooth settings on your phone and select "OpenFit by Shokz" to pair with.

Customize EQ Modes
The Shokz App supports 4 preset EQ modes for OpenFit, including Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost. You can take personalization even further by setting the most appropriate EQ mode according to your own needs.
In addition, you can also customize up to 2 personalized EQ modes through the Shokz App's custom settings. It is all about improving your listening experience!

Customize Controls
OpenFit's "Press-and-Hold" button is set to play the next/previous song as default. However, it can be set as volume adjustment with the Shokz App, allowing you to quickly adjust the volume of music and calls without taking out your phone. The button can be set to activate the voice assistance as well. Simply press and hold OpenFit's touchpad, and the voice assistance comes up.
While the default setting controls audio play/pause, you can customize the "Double Tap" button on the Shokz App to your own preferences. Everything is under your control!
